I’m one of those people who keeps saying “I should do some research on ………….” but so far I’ve been too busy doing other things – like being active in the Calgary Chapter of AHSGR. I went to Russia (the Saratov area) with John Klein in 2003. I hoped that would kick start me on some research, but I got side tracked into reading more of the general history, so I’m quite knowledgeable about that. I’ve signed up for John’s trip to Siberia this Sept, but it may not go as people keep backing out. That has kept me reading that aspect of our history. But maybe the time has come to get back to family stuff, especially since I found out about Diana from Germany and the existence of Reschni (or Reschny in Canada) relatives. I believe that’s the first contact with mom’s side of the family for 80 years. Oh, I’m a descendant of Peter Stang who immigrated to Macklin/Primate in 1908. Dad was Joseph Herman.
