Hello from Texas, my name is Marcella Kettmann and I was born in Saskatchewan and lived for a time in Edmonton, Alberta. Presently, I live in Houston, Texas with my husband Ron. We are retired and enjoy researching our families lineage. We have been researching for about 4 years now and have taken a trip to Saratov, Russia.
WE ARE CURRENTLY SEARCHING THE FOLLOWING SURNAMES:
There were three JOSEPH Roth's born 1845-1846 living in the Village of Volmer from different parents. One of them married ANNA MARIA GRAF. They had 4 children and in 1904 immigrated to Sask. Which of the three JOSEPH Roth's married Anna Maria Graf and who were his parents? After living a short time in Sask. Canada, they apparently moved to the United States and we are unable to find any trace of them. Any information would be helpful.
ANKER My Grandmother was KATHERINE ROTH who married PETER ANKER. They had 3 children, my mother, THERESIA ANKER being the oldest. They came from the Village of Kohler in Russia and settled in Sask in 1907. THERESIA ANKER married JOHANNES SCHNEIDER. Any information about the ANKER family who came from the Village of Kohler in Russia would be appreciated.
SCHNEIDER I am unable to verify which village in Russia my dad, JOHANNES SCHNEIDER, came from. I believe it to be the Village of Kutter but am not sure. JOHANNES SCHNEIDER was born in 1880 and he had 2 brothers and one sister. NICHOLAS, JOSEPH and KATHERINE. His parents were NICHOLAS SCHNEIDER and SUSANNA SCHWERT. I am seeking information as to what Village JOHANNES SCHNEIDER came from.
SCHWERT I have searched for the Surname SCHWERT and can only find it listed in the Village of KAMENKA, in Russia. Any information would be appreciated. SUSANNA SCHWERT married JOHN A. FRANK after her husband NICHOLAS SCHNEIDER died. I am unable to find SUSANA and her second husband JOHN A. FRANK on any ship lists. It is thought that they immigrated to the United States. I am interested in information of any Village in Russia that SUSANA and her parents would have lived in.
