My name is Alex Stephan, I’m 26 and student. Our family moved to Germany 1994 and live now in Hannover.
My Grandmother’s name is Ida Hergenröder (it is the german write form of Lydia Hergenreder) and she was born in Volmer and lived there until age of 10. I found her listed in the war collections on the Odessa website, (http://odessa3.org/collections/war/ewz/link/ewzms110.txt ) under the name:
“Hergenreder, Lydia, born 17 Jan 1926 in Vollmer”. She is also in the Volmer Database as Lydia Hergenreder
Her father was Hergenreder, Josef ; also found on the Odessa website, ( http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=volmer&id=I16649 or odessa3.org -> file ewzms110.txt) and her mother is Vera Hergenreder, born Minich.
Regina born 1 Jun 1922, Irma born 29 Jan 1929, Minna born 2 Aug 1931.
They all live now in Germany, except Regina who has died in Russia.
Can you help me to find more information about the family of Josef Hergenreder. He had 3 brothers Wendlin, Alexander, Domnik (or Dominik) and 3 sisters Ekaterina, Maria and Lisbeth. Alexander Hergenreder had immigrated to Canada prior year 1917.
He is found in the Volmer Database also as Josef Hergenreder.
