My parents Florian Schmidt and Pauline, sister Anne and baby Joseph Raphael boarded the ship "Mont Royal" in Antwerpen, Belgium, on March 28 and on March 29 the ship left port for London. There was a stop in Liverpool, London and the ship left to Canada on March 31, 1929. It docked in St. John, New Brunswick Canada, on April 6, 1929.
My parents went by train to Primate Sask. where they lived for some time. They then lived in Luseland, Sask., Cadoggan, Alberta, and finally settled in Macklin, Sask.
