The Census Registrar lists the number of foreigners who lived in Volmer as of October 9, 1850.  Listed are males & females with an indication of their ages, and notes were made about the age of the males who were recorded in the 1815 Volmer Census.  Deaths for only the males were recorded, some even listed the exact year.  In addition, movement between the villages was noted for the male villagers, and the maiden names of most of the wives are given.  However, the women's colony of origin was not listed by this census recorder.

 

Unique to all other Census Reports, the translator/editor; Angela Gartner also referenced how each families surnames were spelled in the previous Census Reports and sourced the Census Reports by village and year. This is especially useful because the work of tracking family movements and matching them from  document to document has been done for you.  Alternate spellings of the surnames are also given when the translation was in doubt.
