According to the 1766 Volmer Original Settlers List Jacob Armbruster, a 38 year old Catholic farmer came from Kurpfalz, Roshta?.  He and his wife Elisabetha, 25 came to Volmer on July 18, 1766.

 

He was found again in the 1798 Volmer Census listed as a 60 year old widower.  A son, Jakob (20 years old) was also listed, but it was noted that Jakob was working in Dehler (Berezovka).

 

Jakob was again found in the 1834 Volmer Census, however it is noted that he died in 1818.

 

That is the last time we see this surname in Volmer.
